The design inspiration for Mountain Mansion is drawn from the depiction of mountain residences by ancient literati. The project combines modern curve and line elements with geometric figures, creating a space that is both contemporary and reminiscent of traditional mountain residences. This unique blend of old and new is a defining feature of the project, setting it apart from other designs in its category.
Mountain Mansion boasts an open space layout and a free combination of furniture, resulting in an aesthetic that is both fashionable and simple. The color scheme is international, and the space is designed to facilitate community interaction, theme sharing, and roadshow activities. This shared, interactive, and cultural social space is a testament to Panshi Design's commitment to creating designs that foster community and interaction.
The project covers a total of 1085 square meters and utilizes a variety of materials, including stone, wood finish, metal, wire glass, 3M film, and acrylic. The choice of materials was a critical aspect of the design process, with a focus on both the performance effect and innovation of materials, as well as their environmental impact. The extensive use of 3M film materials, which are free from heavy metals and volatile organic solvents, contributes to the unique visual experience of the space.
One of the challenges faced during the design process was the implementation of the scheme for the irregular shape of the empty area. This required careful deliberation and model deduction, as well as a careful selection of materials and processes. However, the successful resolution of this challenge is a testament to Panshi Design's commitment to innovation and problem-solving.
The Mountain Mansion project started in November 2020 in Yantai and was completed in June 2021. The design team, comprised of Cheng Wang and Yongjie Li, has managed to create a design that is both innovative and respectful of local culture. The design concept of urban mountain household is designed to express the natural and relaxed living condition of living on the mountain.
In conclusion, Mountain Mansion is a shining example of Panshi Design's innovative approach to design and architecture. The project's unique blend of modern aesthetics and ancient inspirations, combined with its commitment to environmental sustainability and community interaction, make it a deserving recipient of the Silver A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award in 2022.
